The National Perform New Songs ‘Sea of Love’ And ‘I Need My Girl’ On Fallon

Fans of The National in attendance at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday got the complete service from the band. For their return performance on the show, The National picked two tracks from their forthcoming album Trouble Will Find Me, one of which had previously never been seen before.

The band opened with Sea of Love which, despite having previously done the rounds online, is still pretty exciting. Then, for a special bonus performance, they performed I Need My Girl, showing a much more restrained side to their sixth studio album.

New album aside, The National have one hectic schedule going on at the moment. At the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival, they will be performing once their documentary Mistaken for Strangers has been screened, not to mention an upcoming collaborative performance that will see them perform their track Sorrow for 6 hours straight. Oh, and who could forget their participation with the recently announced Splendour In The Grass 2013 festivities?

Trouble Will Find Me is expected to hit shelves Friday, 17th May. Check out the new songs below.
