The Original Rudeboys Turn Down Chance To Open For Chris Brown Due To His Assault Of Rihanna

Irish act The Original Rudeboys have chosen integrity over a pay cheque when they recently turned down an offer to play London’s 02 Arena as the opening act for pop megastar Chris Brown. As reported by Entertainment.ie, the band’s ukulele player Sean Walsh cited that Brown’s physical assault of fellow pop superstar Rhianna was the reason why the Irish trio turned down his offer.

“Even though it’s a huge opportunity to play in the O2 with a major hip hop star and a substantial fee was offered, we are completely against Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna. In addition, with our latest single ‘Blue Eyes’ being about domestic violence it goes against everything we are about as a band and supporting Chris Brown would send out the wrong message to our fans,” said Walsh.

The Original Rudeboys recently posted a thank you to fans on their official website for helping them reach 30,000 likes on Facebook. After this display of conviction, it’s safe to say that the acoustic indie hip hop group have earned themselves a few more fans.
