The Plot Festival Announces Food, Drink & Community Group Lineups For 2016

If you thought The Plot was going to be just another carbon copy live music event, you were very wrong. Today, organisers of the Sydney festival have introduced us to their carefully curated selection of food, drinks and also community involvement, making the festival more of an experience for those fortunate enough to be holding tickets.

Much like The Plot’s past, this year will boast some of the finest local brewers, food producers and coffee makers around. You’ll be able to start your day with a coffee from the team at Darcy Street Project, catch some music with your revitalised brain, then grab a cheeky burg from the Bella Shack Burgers gang, which you’ll want to wash down with a Mumford tea, because ya’ll a responsible bunch.

But when the time’s right, grab some Gozleme, and wash it back with a cider or beer — depending on what you’re feeling — and get straight back into all the live music action.

For those eager to take a stroll through the festival, you’ll be treated to a cornucopia of stalls, markets and pop-ups from some of Parramatta’s greatest local venders, collectives and social groups, including Western Sydney Queer Collective and Decks For Change, who’ll have artists designing skateboards throughout the day, auctioning them off at the end.

Parramatta will be up in lights for The Plot 2016, making brief 30min train trip from the Sydney CBD even more manageable. Catch the event’s food, drink, community and music lineups, below.
