Future Music Festival 2015 headliners The Prodigy are giving fans their first taste of their forthcoming sixth studio album. The 14-track full-length, entitled The Day Is My Enemy, is due to hit shelves on March 27th via the band’s own label, Take Me To The Hospital, through Cooking Vinyl.
To amp up excitement for the imminent release, which comes shortly after their appearance at Future, the English electronic outfit have unleashed the first wave of details about the new disc, including cover artwork, a complete track listing and a teaser trailer (below).
The follow-up to The Prodigy’s 2009 album Invaders Must Die has been hotly anticipated by fans since it was first announced under the working title of How To Steal A Jet Fighter way back in 2012.
It’s expected to represent a dark, heavy return to the band’s original sound, with frontman Liam Howlett recently describing the LP to the London Evening Standard as “violent-sounding”, while promising it will “wipe the floor” with the modern-day DJ scene.
The disc’s first single Nasty is expected to be unveiled later this month – likely on January 12th if you go by the band’s cryptic Facebook hint to check their website on that date.
In the meantime, fans can sink their teeth into the disorientating teaser trailer, below, or check out the details of their appearance at Future Music Festival 2015 alongside Drake, Avicii and more.
