The Screaming Jets Are Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of ‘All for One’ with a Re-Recording and Tour

It’s been 30 years since Aussie rock veterans the Screaming Jets released their debut album All for One. Anchored by singles like ‘Better’, ‘Stop the World’ and ‘Shine On’ introduced the band to the world, touring Europe, the UK, the States and Canada off the back of its success.

“For a bloke from Cardiff, who’d spent a few years touring round Australia, to find himself on the other side of the world sharing the stage with the likes of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, INXS, and yes, even a band room with Spinal Tap was something beyond my wildest imagination,” recalls frontman Dave Gleeson.

To mark three decades since the release of All for One, the band have a few things in store to help celebrate. First up, the current lineup – which includes Gleeson and original bassist Paul Woseen – have re-recorded the album in full, overseen by original producer Steve James with a fresh take. That’s set for release Friday, 13th August – you can pre-save and pre-order that here.

Additionally, the band will head out on an Australian tour from July, where they’ll perform All for One in full, from start to finish, for the first time.

“It’s nice to revisit some of those songs. A bunch of them we still play live to this day, but during the re-recording of some of the songs we haven’t done for a while…wow, the memories just come flooding back,” says Gleeson.

“Hopefully it’ll be the same for our loyal fans. This tour may even bring people out who haven’t seen us for a while. Maybe there will be people there to judge whether we are the same as 30 years ago.”
