Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah has announced via his always-busy Twitter account that a third official lineup announcement for Soundwave 2015 will be announced, alongside official festival timetables, before Christmas.
“Folks, we’re preparing a little announcement with a few bands for you,” Maddah tweeted this afternoon. “There will be a 3rd artist announcement and timetables before Christmas.” In a follow up tweet, he claimed that the bands on the third announcement “will be slightly bigger as we need media to not be hung over after Arias”.
The “little announcement” Maddah references is this afternoon’s second addition of artists, which finally arrives after a number of delays.
Until now, we were expecting at least 17 acts to be added to the 2015 Soundwave bill with the second announcement but, knowing there will be a third announcement later in the year, we can expect the number of bands announced this afternoon to decrease.
Still no word whether Maddah’s infamous “Justice League of Rock” supergroup will be announced today or at a later stage.
The Soundwave 2015 lineup already includes big-name acts such as Faith No More, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson, and recently added Bayside and Nonpoint as an appeasement to fans hungering for more news. Stay tuned for the SECOND lineup announcement, coming later this afternoon, then bring on the Soundwave set times!
