We need to speak directly to anyone whose formative years involved glow sticks, emotional synth arpeggios and staring dramatically into middle distance while a kick drum slowly built toward enlightenment.
Tiësto is returning to Australia in February 2027 – but not in the way most people probably expected.
The Best Of Tiesto (Trance Music)
Before the global pop collaborations, Vegas residencies, stadium tours and becoming one of the most recognisable DJs on Earth, Tiësto helped define trance music for an entire generation. And now, for one special Australian performance, he’s going back to where it all started.
Dreamstate Australia has announced that the electronic music icon will perform an exclusive trance set across its 2027 edition – a rare move that marks one of the most anticipated trance events Australia has seen in years.
Presented exclusively by Dreamstate Australia, the performance will celebrate the sound that launched Tiësto’s career and turned him into one of dance music’s most influential figures.
For longtime fans, this is the guy behind In Search Of Sunrise. Magik. The peak-era trance years. The emotional breakdowns. The gigantic euphoric builds. The era before EDM became a stadium-sized global industry.
And while Tiësto’s evolution into one of dance music’s biggest crossover stars is well documented – GRAMMY wins, chart domination and enough giant festival moments to last several lifetimes – a dedicated trance set hits differently.
The announcement also marks Dreamstate Australia’s biggest swing yet.
Originally launched in the US and now rapidly establishing itself locally, Dreamstate has become Australia’s home for trance, techno and harder-edge electronic sounds, combining huge production, immersive visuals and lineups built for people who like their BPMs fast and their laser budgets irresponsible.
After record growth in 2026, organisers are promising their most ambitious Australian edition yet. Details below.
