The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has popped his uniquely shaped head out from within his studio hole to reveal Motley Crue sticks man Tommy Lee will be featuring on the band’s forthcoming record, Monuments To An Elegy.
The news was broken by a photo of the two posing…kinda awkwardly…in front of a soundboard. Should that not be enough, the image – posted on Smashing Pumpkins Nexus – is accompanied by a caption explaining that drums were provided by “T Lee for all 9 songs” that made the final cut for the record.
The post also confirms that “round 1” of the first batch of drum tracking has been completed for the record, which is one of two the band have announced for the coming year. News on the other, Day For Night, is so far scant.
