Tori Amos has announced that she will make her return to Australia this November. Running on the incredible momentum of her 14th studio album, Unrepentant Geraldines, the tour will include a special Sydney Opera House performance accompanied by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Following recent, highly acclaimed stops throughout the UK, Europe, South Africa, as well as a six-week, coast-to-coast tour of the US, Amos has now extended her world tour to include visits to her Aussie fans, who’ll soon be packing theatres in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
These shows, which mark Amos’ first Australian performances after a five year absence since her November 2009 tour, will be filled with wall-to-wall hits, classics, and fan favourites, chosen from throughout Amos’ incredible and extensive discography, as well as tracks from her new album.
Amos’ special Opera House performance will see the singer-songwriter accompany the 42-piece Sydney Symphony Orchestra on piano as she runs through a setlist of hits and favourites curated to please any Amos fan, in addition to a selection of solo songs from Unrepentant Geraldines.
UPDATE 27/10/14: Tori Amos has added a third Sydney performance to her forthcoming 2014 Australian tour. The newly-announced Sydney date will take the form of a solo requests show at the City Recital Hall on Thursday, 20th November. Details below.
