Triple J Announces Huge Free All-Ages Concert With Skegss, Tired Lion & More

UPDATE: Triple j has announced that Live At The Steps is getting a venue upgrade, and will now take place at Treasury Gardens on 17th November.

ORIGINAL STORY: Triple j has announced a huge, free and all-ages concert in celebration of Ausmusic Month, which will feature sets from the likes of homegrown rockers Skegss and Tired Lion.

The show, which is being put together by triple j Unearthed with support from The Push and the Parliament Of Victoria, will see a lineup of Unearthed-approved acts perform on Parliament House steps in Melbourne on Friday, 17th November, for a concert dubbed Live At The Steps.

Among the other performers will be rapper Mallrat (who just announced her own headline tour) and fellow RnB head Baker Boy. We’ve also been told to expect some “special guest and surprises” on the night, and they’ve got a lot to live up to after Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson performed with Northeast Party House when triple j Unearthed celebrated its 10th birthday at the State Library of Victoria last year.

Live At The Steps will be a drug, alcohol and smoke-free event, and will be recorded and eventually broadcast on triple j for anyone who missed out.
