Prolific musician Ty Segall will embark on his biggest Australian tour yet this December while in the country as part of Meredith Music Festival 2014, and he has announced extra dates for Melbourne and Sydney, with previously announced shows in both cities now sold out.
Segall and his full band will perform a further night at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Monday 15th December, with local fuzz rockers The Murlocs in support. In Sydney, they’ll take stage at Oxford Art Factory once more on Thursday 18th December, joined by Dead Farmers and Ruined Fortune.
Segall will also play shows in Perth, Byron Bay and Brisbane. The multi-instrumentalist will be touring in support of his acclaimed new double album, Manipulator, the 26-year-old’s eighth studio album. According to Music Feed’s David Claridad the 17-track album is “Segall’s most ambitious effort yet”.
Segall’s creative ambitions were pushed even further with the release of a new interactive video for the album’s namesake song Manipulator on his website, which allows anyone to assemble their own visual feast to accompany the singer’s fuzztone guitars and vocals.
Tickets for the new shows are on sale now. See the updated tour dates below.
