Speaking to Respect magazine, Odd Future head honcho Tyler The Creator has said that
“if Columbine is reenacted or some shit, that’s gonna be on my fucking head. Yeah, it’ll be my fault, just like it was Em’s and Marilyn’s and fucking Slipknot’s and all them motherfuckers.”
The comments came when Tyler, after being asked about his song Radicals, which features the popular chorus of “KILL PEOPLE! BURN SHIT! FUCK SCHOOL!”, compared himself to Eminem and Marilyn Manson, who’s lyrics were blamed by some for the actions of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who killed 12 students and a teacher when they embarked on a killing spree in their highschool in 1999. Speaking of the song Tyler said that it could either “make me an icon” or “get me in a lot of fucking heat with a lot of parents.”
These comments come after Tyler got in trouble earlier this year for saying that Harris and Klebold were “probably really cool people.” Currently set to begin work on Wolf, his third album and follow up to the highly successful Goblin, the album set for a May 2012 release.
Odd Future will be back out in in January on the Big Day Out 2012 lineup.
