For those who can’t make it out to Byron this weekend and are stewing at home deep in the depths of Splendour In The Grass FOMO, the mastermind behind the Warmest 100 has whipped up something that will either cure or exacerbate your jealousy, with the new site Splendour In The Grams.
The website allows those following at home to experience the festival through Instagram-filtered lenses. Splendour In The Grams displays every photo in almost real time posted to the hashtags #SplendourInTheGrass and #Splendour.
Not forgetting that sound is an important player in the Splendour experience, Nick Drewe, the site’s creator, has even embedded a stream of triple j’s live coverage, providing a soundtrack to your viewing as you watch everything going down at Byron this weekend cloaked in a Valenica or Lo-Fi wash.
Drewe is also the brains behind the Warmest 100, a website which tries to predict triple J’s Hottest 100 competition. His site this accurately predicted that Vance Joy‘s hit Riptide would top the triple j chart.
With all the Splendour festivities having kicked off last night and on-stage performances currently underway, the Splendour In The Grams feed is already filled with action-packed snaps. Get you Splendour fill here.
You can check out Triple J’s complete broadcast schedule for the weekend here, and stay tuned to our Splendour 2014 Feed for all the latest photos, stories and coverage!
