Billie Eilish recently dropped her new single ‘My Future’ this month, and now she’s given the smooth and jazzy track its live debut at the Democratic National Convention.
This year’s DNC is happening virtually, for obvious reasons, and just underwent its third of five nights.
Before Eilish took to the stage alongside her brother FINNEAS, she shared a message that was also syndicated to Instagram, where she pleaded her fans to vote against Trump in the forthcoming presidential election.
“Donald Trump is destroying our country and everything we care about,” Eilish bluntly said.
“We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and COVID, not deny them. Leaders who will fight against systemic racism and inequality. And that starts by voting for someone who understands how much is at stake. Someone who’s building a team that shares our values.
“It starts with voting against Donald Trump and for Joe Biden. Silence is not an option, and we cannot sit this one out. We all have to vote like our lives and the world depend on it because they do.”
‘My Future’ is the second single Eilish has released this year, following the titular theme to the forthcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die.
