Drake is undoubtedly this biggest male musician in the world right now, but turns out even he isn’t immune to being booed off stage.
The Canadian superstar was booked as a surprise headliner for Tyler, The Creator’s annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival, but turns out fans who turned up to see who the surprise headliner would be weren’t too pleased.
Judging by an Instagram live recording that’s going viral on the internet, punters were expecting Frank Ocean to be the special guest. This would’ve been fitting given Ocean’s close friendship with Tyler and with the fact he’s been putting out a slew of new singles recently.
In the video, which is incredibly awkward to watch, Drake can be seen saying “Like I said, I’m here for you.”
“If you want me to keep going, I’ll keep going.”
He was then met with a slew of “no!” and “boo!” which is absolutely unbelievable.
He then says “It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me” before seeing himself off stage a reported 20 minutes before he was supposed to.
