Flume has given new life to his chart-scaling hit Never Be Like You featuring Canadian singer Kai, with a delirious new music video.
The debut single from the Aussie producer’s forthcoming album Skin scores a stormy relationship in the clip, but its rippling circus mirror-style visuals also make it a uniquely dizzying watch.
Starring Sophie Lowe (The Slap) and Sam Reid (Riot Club), the video was directed by Clemens Habicht, who’s described it in the following words (via Pitchfork):
“It is the story of an emotional state – the delicious euphoric pleasure that motivates the sort of mistakes that precede remorse. In a confused state a girl loses control as she gives in to a delirious beautiful and grotesque abandon that blurs the boundaries between reality, sensation and perception as the world she is in melts away. It was a absolute pleasure to work with Sophie, Sam and Harley.”
Flume aka Harley Streten’s second album Skin will hopefully be out soon.
During his recent tour across Australia for Laneway festival, the producer described hist new LP as “headphone not festival music”.
