Watch Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins Cover HUGE Rock Classics In Sydney With Chevy Metal

A few hundred (very lucky) concert-goers were treated to an epic set of rock and metal classics in Sydney last night, when two members of Foo Fighters played an intimate surprise show with rock covers supergroup Chevy Metal at Oxford Art Factory.

The self-described “wedding band on crack” — which this time consisted of Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins with The Birds Of Satan’s Wiley Hodgen and Sebastian Bach’s Brent Woods — played for almost two hours, after announcing the show only 14 hours earlier.

The band knocked out covers of huge tracks by the likes of Black Sabbath, Queen, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, AC/DC, Billy Joel, Van Halen and The Knack. Meanwhile, the night also saw Grohl refuse to do a shoey (because he’s “not your stupid crazy uncle”), and there was also quite a lengthy discussion about ecstasy tablets with Donald Trump’s face on them.

Catch a bunch of footage from the show, below.
