Watch The Hollywood Vampires Honour Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister With ‘Ace Of Spades’ Cover At The Grammys

Alice Cooper’s rock’n’roll supergroup The Hollywood Vampires have knocked out a huge musical tribute to late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister at the 28th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl introduced the tribute (below), telling the crowd, “Lemmy Kilmister was rock’n’roll. He was a rebel, an outsider, one-of-a-kind and a way of life. He was Motörhead.” Grohl also paid tribute to Motörhead’s Phil Taylor, who died in November 2015.

Making their television debut, The Hollywood Vampires (boasting Cooper, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Johnny Depp alongside Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan and former Guns N’ Roses member Matt Sorum) rocked out to their new song As Bad As I Am before covering the Motörhead classic Ace Of Spades.

Catch footage of the fiery performance below, from 4:50.

Kilmister died in December, aged 70.
