Watch The Killers Play A Secret Show In Melbourne Last Night

It seems old mates The Killers couldn’t wait for today’s AFL Grand Final pre-game spectacular to bust out some tunes for their Aussie fans, and decided to surprise punters in Melbourne last night with a guerrilla gig at Howler.

A packed house of 400 fan club members got shouted to a secret show from Brandon Flowers & co at the Brunswick venue, during which the band busted out a bunch of their hits, including funky-fresh radio earworm, ‘The Man’.

“BEST GIG EVER! Thanks to all who helped get this gig happening I couldn’t be more stoked,” one punter posted on Instagram.

“Had the best time!! They rocked & Brandon is so much hotter in the flesh!! Thanks… for a truly magical night which was a once in a lifetime experience,” posted another.

While a third added: “It’s nice to wake up and know it wasn’t a dream. I’m still amazed that I got to see @thekillers in a 400 capacity crowd. Today I’ll see them in a venue that will house 100,000 people. Life is crazy sometimes.”

The stealth warm-up gig comes ahead of The Killers’ blockbuster AFL grand final performance later today. According to AFL.com, they’re set to hit the stage at exactly 1.43pm (v specific!)

The band will then play YET ANOTHER Melbourne show this evening — busting out a FREE set at the MCG for fans as part of the Virgin Australia Premiership Party from 6pm.

Also, ICYMI: The Killers will be returning to our shores in 2018 for their biggest Australian tour to date.

Until then, catch pics and a bit of footage from their secret Melbourne show last night, below.
