Watch Kings Of Leon Perform A Rare Track With Chris Martin

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joined Kings of Leon onstage at the Hollywood Bowl over the weekend. The singer took the stage to help the band perform Talihina Sky, a hidden track on the band’s debut album, Youth & Young Manhood, as part of their Mechanical Bull tour’s ‘Song for the City’ program.

As part of ‘Song for the City’, the band debut a never-before-played track as requested by fans on each night of their tour. Talihina Sky featured Martin on piano and helping out on some of the vocals, as well as sticking around for the band’s performance of 2008’s Notion. According to Billboard, after Martin left the stage, frontman Caleb Followill joked, “I hope you enjoyed that. That cost us a lot of money.”

As NME reports, the performance marked the second time that the Coldplay frontman has joined the Tennessee rockers onstage this year. Martin previously made an appearance during BBC Radio 1’s One Big Weekend back in March, which saw the singer join KoL for a performance of their 2007 song Fans.
