Lana Del Rey was this week’s musical guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. She performed her single ‘Arcadia’, taken from her eighth studio record Blue Banisters.
Her performance on the show marks a rare television appearance for the artist who this time around, has opted for a quiet release schedule. Del Rey recently deactivated her social media to focus on “other jobs… that require privacy and transparency.”
Blue Banisters is Del Rey’s second album of the year, following the contemporary Americana of March’s Chemtrails Over The Country Club.
‘Arcadia’ is the lead single for the singer’s latest record, which features works originally written as early as 2013 in her Ultraviolence era.
Her performance on Colbert sees Del Rey performing with a pared back accompaniment, allowing for her stunning vocal performance to take centre stage. She wears a similar outfit to that of the official video clip.
