Watch Lawson Hull’s Lo-Fi Video For New Single ‘Parking Lot’

Newcastle indie pop-rocker Lawson Hull has shared a new single ‘Parking Lot’. It’s a whimsical, guitar-driven track that sounds like it’s soaked in sunshine.

The single comes with a lo-fi vintage music video too.

‘Parking Lot’s happy go lucky sound doesn’t totally match the intention of the song though.

Lawson Hull explains that the song is a sarcastic reflection on the monotony of life…

“There’s also an idea that nothing is wrong with the daily routine thing,” says Hull.

“This song is kind of like the big brother of ‘College Town’ from my last EP. Small town vibes, not a lot going on.

“There’s good and bad with whatever season of life someone’s in. Once in a while it’s probably pretty normal to go, ‘what on earth am I doing here again?’”

The new single is taken from Hull’s forthcoming EP Hangin’ Out With Cowboys.

Hangin’ Out With Cowboys is a six-track effort that’s due to arrive Friday, 27th August.

So far, we’ve received ‘Parking Lot’, ‘Cowboys’ and ‘Mexico’ from the release.
