Lil Nas X performed a medley of songs from his debut studio album Montero at the 2022 Grammy Awards. Flanked by a group of backup dancers and a drum line, the rapper opened with ‘Dead Right Now’ before launching into ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’. For his final song, ‘Industry Baby’, Lil Nas X was joined by the song’s featured artist, Jack Harlow.
Lil Nas was nominated for five awards at this year’s Grammys, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. While Harlow was not directly nominated for any awards this year, he received two nominations – Album of the Year as a featured artist on Montero, and Best Melodic Rap Performance for ‘Industry Baby’ (the award ended up going to Kanye West, The Weeknd and Lil Baby for their Donda collaboration ‘Hurricane’.
