A Perfect Circle are continuing to tease us with new geometric shapes (which we’re hoping will ultimately fit together like puzzle pieces to form a brand new album).
Their latest comes in the form of ‘Hour Glass’, another never-before-heard track that Maynard James Keenan’s other band have debuted live during their first set of tour dates in six years.
Interestingly, the tune is packing a heavy electro element, stuffed with layers of digital production, piano tracks and even a vocal synthesiser (it’s pretty light on the old guitars though).
Its emergence comes hot on the heels of the rock supergroup unveiling another slice of new material live on their US jaunt, dubbed ‘Feathers’.
According to comments by guitarist Billy Howerdal last month, the band are set to release new music later this year that could very well come in the form of a brand new LP.
It may not be welcome news for Tool fans though, who’ve been waiting for approximately 200 years for the band to release their next album.
