Watch Placebo Stop Their Newcastle Show To Kick Out Violent Fans

Footage has emerged of Placebo stopping their show in Newcastle, NSW overnight, before evicting some violent concert-goers from the venue.

Crowd-shot video of the incident (below) sees frontman Brian Molko put down his guitar to call out a group of men, who appear to have been involved in a punch-up within the crowd at Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

“No fighting… get the fuck out,” Molko says to the group.

After one of them supposedly flips Molko the bird, the singer says, “Wanna give me the finger?

“All of you, you’re all leaving. Yeah especially you, baseball cap backwards.”

The troublemakers can then be seen being escorted from the venue.

“What a waste of time and money,” Molko continues.

“We’re working here, we’re trying to do a good show for you guys.

“It really, really doesn’t help when people punch each other or bump into each other, it is just nonsense. So let’s all just try and take care of each other tonight.”

Yesterday, Placebo apologised to fans after not being able to reschedule their Perth show, which was cancelled at the last minute earlier this month.

The band will wrap up their 2017 Australian tour in Canberra on Thursday night.
