Watch Run The Jewels Perform ‘RTJ4’ In Full For Voter Registration Concert

Over the weekend, Run the Jewels performed latest album RTJ4 in full as part of a concert titled ‘Holy Calamavote’.

The performance, which was live-streamed and broadcast on Adult Swim, took place to encourage voter participation in the upcoming US Federal election. The Ben & Jerry’s-sponsored concert opened with an introduction from Eric Andre, encouraging viewers to pledge to vote.

It’s the first time Killer Mike and El-P have performed RTJ4, and it’s both a great-looking and sounding show. It features in-person guest appearances from RTJ4 collaborators like Greg Nice and Gangsta Boo, with others like Josh Homme, Mavis Staples, Zack de la Rocha and Pharrell Williams joining via video link.

Run the Jewels dropped RTJ4 back in June, making the album free to download “for anyone who wants some music” amid protests in the US following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police.

“The world is infested with bullshit so here’s something raw to listen to while you deal with it all. We hope it brings you some joy,” the duo commented upon its release. “Stay safe and hopeful out there and thank you for giving 2 friends the chance to be heard and do what they love.”
