Sticky Fingers tore up the Bluesfest stage this past weekend but their set almost went on without their frontman Dylan “Diz” Frost who was being tackled by security at one point after he was mistaken for a stage-diving fan.
The band uploaded footage of the mix up (below) onto their Facebook page, showing Frost’s attempt to return to the stage after diving into the crowd being denied by a guard who proceeded to wrestle him away from the stage.
The footage also shows Frost’s eventual return to the stage with the words, “Yeah, praise this fucking dickhead down here.”
The band appear to have let bygone be bygones now though. “Mr Guardman turned out to be a lovely bloke and was heaps apologetic, but what a laugh!” they wrote on Facebook after the set.
Sticky Fingers only joined the Bluesfest lineup recently, after headliner Lenny Kravitz and English indie-folk artist Ben Howard cancelled their respective Australian tours.
Watch the footage below.
