Watch Stoked Tool Drummer Danny Carey Crash A Random School Band’s Gig To Jam On ‘The Pot’

It seems drummer Danny Carey is so pumped to start playing live with Tool again that he’s taken to crashing random local bands’ gigs just for the opportunity to play his own songs.

Just look how stoked he is in this footage that’s emerged of the heavy metal stickman drumming along to a chill cover of the metal greats’ 10,000 Days track ‘The Pot’ with a band of young’ns called Reformed at LA’s Burbank Music Academy.

Ironically, Reformed have now disbanded. But their encounter with the great Tool beatlord will stay with them forever.

“He could not have been nicer or more supportive of the kids,” writes a witness who snapped the video.

Hopefully we’ll see Carey cracking the tubs to ‘The Pot’ with the real Tool live again soon, after they finally release their long-awaited new album.

They’ve already announced a stinkfist-full of US tour dates for June, and hopefully Australia will follow soon after.

Then we’ll be as happy as Danny Carey looks drumming with this bunch of kids:
