Watch Teary-Eyed Jack White Break His Live Hiatus With Emotional Acoustic Medley On Fallon

Jack White has made an emotional return to the stage after taking a brief hiatus from performing live.

He broke the drought on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – in more ways than one. The troubadour visibly choked back tears as he busted out a moving acoustic medley featuring his solo track Love Is the Truth (you know, that one he wrote for Coca-Cola?) alongside The White Stripes’ You’ve Got Her in Your Pocket.

But despite White’s confrontingly vulnerable performance, his visit to Fallon wasn’t all totez emosh.

The Third Man Records mastermind also sat down for a pow-wow with the goofball host, giving his new archival album Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 a solid plug and even having a few LOLS at the expense of Fallon’s “beginner’s guitar”.

ICYMI somehow: White announced that he was taking a break from the stage back in April of 2015, and the gig on Fallon not only marks just his third performance since then, it also signals his first televised solo acoustic performance ever.

And it was definitely a special one.

Check out the footage of Jack White performing unplugged live on Fallon, as well as his chat with the man himself, below.
