Watch The New Megadeth Lineup, Including Chris Adler, Perform Live For First Time

The new Megadeth lineup, featuring Lamb Of God sticksman Chris Adler, has made its live debut at a festival in Quebec this weekend.

Fan-shot footage of the show, published by Blabbermouth, shows Adler, who recently played drums on Megadeth’s upcoming studio album, playing alongside Megadeth’s two remaining Daves, Mustaine and Ellefson, as well as Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro of Angra.

Adler was confirmed as Megadeth’s new drummer for their upcoming album earlier this year following last year’s double-whammy departure of former drummer Shawn Drover and guitarist Chris Broderick. It’s not known how long he will carry on live drum duties for the band at this stage.

The metal veterans’ as-yet-untitled new album will be the follow up to 2013’s polarising Super Collider. It is not yet known when the album will be unveiled, but Ellefson recently confirmed the band are “still looking to where is the best time” is to release the record.

That time may be right now, as it was just announced that Megadeth and Lamb Of God will be heading out on a co-headlining of the U.K. and Ireland this November, during which Chris Adler will be pulling double drumming duty.

“Having just finished an amazing record full of high-energy heavy metal with Chris Adler, Kiko Loureiro and David Ellefson, I am excited to announce this tour and see all of the metal fans come out for this one,” wrote Dave Mustaine in a statement.

“I literally can’t wait to hit the stage again.”

Now, if we can only get them back to Australia.
