Vampire Weekend are currently doings the rounds through England, playing some special intimate shows in the lead up to their album release. Yesterday, they played a show just before lunch time and debuted a cover of Paul Simon‘s ‘Late In The Evening’. This band, man.
However, that wasn’t the only cover the audience was treated to. They also performed a rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘I’m Goin’ Down’ – something they haven’t done in a decade – as well as a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’. On top of all that, they also played the first song in your music library ‘A-Punk’ three times in a row.
Vampire Weekend are on the cusp of releasing their highly anticipated fourth studio album Father of the Bride, which is out Friday, 3rd May. We’ve already copped a whole bunch of tracks from the record – ‘Harmony Hall’, ‘2021’, ‘Sunflower’ and ‘Big Blue.’
