In absolutely devastating news, We Came As Romans have confirmed that their singer Kyle Pavone has passed away at the young age of 28.
His cause of death is not yet known, but TMZ is reporting that the metalcore frontman was taken to a Michigan hospital on August 19th and pronounced dead on Saturday morning.
“His cause of death is still unclear, pending a toxicology report,” the site reports.
WCAR took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with fans, writing: “Kyle’s tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates. All are devastated by his passing.
“We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for others, and his impressive musical talent,” their statement continues.
“In lieu of flowers, we will be providing information regarding charity donations this coming week. The family and the band wish to thank their fans and the music community for all of their love and support as they navigate their grief.”
“Will I Be Remembered or Will I Be Lost in Loving Eyes?” they added, quoting a lyric from their song ‘Promise Me’.
Pavone’s WCAR bandmate Joshua Moore also added his on personal tribute on Instagram, writing: “The craziest, goofiest, most funny and lovable kid. I miss you so much.”
Pavone joined We Came as Romans in 2008 as a singer and keyboardist, going on to record five albums with the band including their most recent 2017 LP, Cold Like War.
They last toured Australia supporting our own In Hearts Wake on their 2015 Skydancer tour.
Hearts are breaking throughout the heavy music community at this tragic news and tributes to the energetic frontman have begun pouring in across social media.

We were so fortunate to come to know Kyle Pavone over our tour with @wecameasromans in Europe this year. We will remember him as kindhearted, hilarious and full of talent and energy, someone we admired since we were high-schoolers but who welcomed us all as equals.
