We Finally Know The Fate Of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Character

Enough people watched the Season 8 premiere of Game Of Thrones to cover every square inch of Westeros, but a little nugget you may have missed is that we found out what happened to the character Ed Sheeran cameod as.

At the start of last season, Sheeran made a brief cameo as a singing knight – of course he did – and pretty much no-one liked it. Even Kristian Nairn, who plays much beloved Hodor in the series, wasn’t a fan.

But fans might be happy to know what happened to Sheero’s character and it…didn’t go so well for our ginger mate. In the scene of the S8 premiere episode ‘Winterfell’ where Bronn is about to *ahem* have some fun with three women, one of the women reveals what happened to ‘Eddie’ during last season’s battle between the Lannister and Targaryen forces.

“That boy Eddie came back with his face burned right off,” she said.

“He’s got no eyelids now.”

What can we say? Don’t bring a guitar to a dragon fight. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Music and Game Of Thrones have always had a strong connection. In fact, Fender just announced three exclusive GOT themed guitars, and we’re also getting an album titled For The Throne with songs from The National, The Weeknd, Matt Bellamy, SZA, Travis Scott and more inspired by the series.

Revisit Sheeran’s cameo, if you dare, below.
