Wrestling fans rejoice because the WWE is bringing a massive stadium show to Australia this year.
During Monday Night Raw, a weekly wrestlings television program, presenter Michael Cole announced that there would be some huge international events this year including one in Australia in October.
Cole said there would be more information, “in the months to come,” but Herald Sun is reporting that it’s set to go down at Melbourne Cricket Ground with a capacity of 100,000 people.
It looks like it will be called ‘Global Warning II’ which will be the follow-up to 2002’s ‘Global Warning’ tour which went down in Melbourne also with 50,000 people in attendance.
The Rock, Triple H and Brock Lesnar all competed in that one and it looks like this one could be just as big, if not bigger.
They are targeting big names for this Aussie event too with Ronda Rousey, who recently jumped to WWE from UFC, reportedly on the cards. John Cena, The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio are other possibilities.
An official announcement is expected to be made in April.
