Written by Brayden Darke on January 11, 2012

At The Drive-In have revealed a teaser video for their upcoming reunion, which is currently being used as the background of their newly launched website, which originally was a static image. You can watch the preview clip below.

Yesterday it was announced that the massively influential (and assumed dead) post-hardcore group At The Drive-In would reform to play at Coachella 2012. The group posted this message via their new Twitter account along with the new website.

@AtTheDriveIn_: ¡ ATTENTION ! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS …NOW…OPERATIONAL

At The Drive-In formed in 1993 and released several classic albums including Acrobatic Tenement, In/Casino/Out and Relationship Of Command, which likely influenced just about any rock band you’ll hear these days. They called it quits in 2001, and Singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López went on to form The Mars Volta. Guitarist Jim Ward, who was recently out here on tour, bassist Paul Hinojos, and drummer Tony Hajjar went on to form Sparta.

At The Drive-In will be appearing on the Coachella 2012 lineup in April. No word on whether we’ll see them in Australia.
