Complete Soundwave Day Lineups Coming Tomorrow

UPDATE 24/12/14: They’re a few days late but the complete day lineups are here!

Now that the third Soundwave 2015 lineup has arrived and acts like Smashing Pumpkins, Falling In Reverse and Steel Panther have joined the festival, promoter AJ Maddah has announced complete day lineups, allocating when each new band will play, will be revealed tomorrow.

The Soundwave chief did give a little insight into who will play when by answer specific queries from followers. Per Maddah’s answers, both Smashing Pumpkins and Swedish punks Millencolin will take the Soundwave stage on day two, the same day as Slipknot, while Steel Panther and Falling In Reverse will play the festival’s first day alongside headliner Faith No More.

Soundwave 2015 will of course be held across two days, on the same weekend in Adelaide and Melbourne, then the next weekend in Brisbane and Sydney. Maddah also confirmed festival timetables will “not be too far behind” but extended the deadline to some time around Christmas or New Year, as he is still waiting on approval from all the bands. “There’s always a lot of ‘my band shouldn’t play before that band’,” he added.

He has already confirmed heavy metal giants Judas Priest will play a full 90-minute set at next year’s festival, the same amount of time believed to be allotted to headliners Faith No More, Slipknot and Soundgarden.

Today Soundwave 2015 grew by nine acts, taking the total lineup to more than 70. Fans are also expecting the addition of another “brand new supergroup” to the 2015 lineup, though it is not clear exactly when that will be announced.
