Cults Announce Groovin The Moo Sideshows

Having been confirmed for the epic Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup, New York indie duo Cults have announced that they will embark on a series of sideshows across the country, their second Australian sojourn since they amazed audiences in 2012 as part of that year’s Laneway Festival bill.

Young guns Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion will be touring off the heels of their raved-about sophomore studio effort, Static, which will see them through gigs at Sydney’s Metro Theatre, The Corner Hotel in Melbourne, Brisbane’s The Zoo, and The Bakery in Perth, kicking off this April.

Since the release of their eponymous debut in 2011, the band has soared from a much blogged-about underground favourite to an internationally recognised unit, with acclaim reserved for the band’s ability to craft subtly arranged, opulent and complex meditations on modern love.

Having sharpened their live chops on the festival circuit, playing everywhere from Lollapalooza and All Tomorrow’s Parties to Pitchfork and Bonnaroo, as well as headlining dates across Europe, the UK, North America, and Asia, the band are ready to show Aussie fans their new confidence.

The band’s Australian headline dates are presented by Music Feeds, and kick off on Tuesday, 29th April at the Metro Theatre in Sydney. The pair will then traverse up and down the East Coast, before concluding with a show on Friday, 9th May at The Bakery in Perth.
