Culture Club Are Touring Australia For The First Time In 16 Years

UPDATE 10/10/16: Culture Club have announced a new string of Australian tour dates for December 2016.

ORIGINAL STORY: Culture Club have announced they will tour Australia in June for the first time since 2000.

The Boy George-fronted ’80s outfit will play shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane bringing with them fellow reformed ’80s band Kids In The Kitchen.

They have also recruited Dannii Minogue to open for them in Melbourne marking the first time she’s played her hometown since 1998. ABBA tribute band will Bjorn Again will support in Sydney and Brisbane.

Culture Club haven’t released an album since 1999’s Don’t Mind If I Do. They have reformed a number of times since then with various differing lineups but this time around all four original members will be heading down-under. The band played a 2011 New Year’s Eve show in Sydney, without drummer Jon Moss.

News Corp is reporting that a source suggests it may be the last time the band tour the world together.

Still, they have been teasing a new album Tribes but it still hasn’t been given a release date despite it being available for pre-order.
