Daniel Johns Solo Album Set For 2014 Release

A reported three years in the making, Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns has finally confirmed, via the band’s Facebook page, that he will release his first solo album some time this year.

“Daniel’s been busy in the studio of late and we’re excited to now be able to share what he’s been up to with you,” said the post. “Daniel’s own album will follow later in the year … so stay tuned for further details.”

Johns also posted a few days ago to his newly established Facebook page, revealing to fans he will release some new music early in 2014. “I’ve been super busy in the studio this year and I’m happy to say that I can start sharing some of the music I’ve been making early in the new year,” said Johns.

One of his key collaborators on the new record is the mastermind behind Lorde‘s sterling debut Pure Heroine, producer and songwriter Joel Little along with Empire Of The Sun’s main man Luke Steele. Johns also recently lent a hand and some vocal cords to rapper 360, with the dubstep-infused track Impossible, released this morning.

The Silverchair post also linked to a new Daniel Johns website. No other album details have been revealed yet, but Music Feeds will keep you updated as they come to hand.
