Donald Glover Says A Childish Gambino & Chance The Rapper Mixtape Will “Probably” Happen

Donald Glover is keen to make all of your Childish Gambino/Chance The Rapper collaboration dreams a reality.

Fresh from bagging two Emmy Awards for acting & directing his hit series Atlanta, the multitalented slashie fielded a Q&A on the red carpet and completely out of the blue signalled his intentions to team up with Chance.

“I feel like if I don’t make a Chance the Rapper mixtape, like a double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds will kick my ass,” he confessed, adding that “I feel like I’ve gotta do something. I probably will.”

Then, even more tellingly, a video of Glover’s comments (which you can catch below) was then retweeted by Chance himself.

Sooooooooooo yeah. Prospects of an IRL collab look bloody good.

It comes after Chance previous confirmed via Reddit AMA that the Mixtape project does indeed exist and Glover spilled that the pair have even spent some time in the studio together.

Chance also made an appearance at today’s Emmy Awards, making a surprise cameo in the show’s iconic opening sequence to drop a smashing verse about his fave TV shows.

Catch that clip below, alongside Donald Glover’s Emmy Award wins and red carpet Q&A.

And if you can’t wait for the pair’s long-hyped collab to drop, you can also listen to a Chance/Gambino mashup right here.
