Download Festival Australia Wants Your Band To Join Its 2018 Lineup

Written by Tom Williams on January 23, 2018

Download Festival Australia organisers have put out a call for one final band to join their 2018 lineup.

When the first-ever Download Melbourne lineup was announced in November, organisers said 29 bands would perform at the festival, but only 28 were named on the official lineup poster.

It turns out the 29th band will be hand-picked by triple j Unearthed, as part of a competition.

To be eligible for the competition, acts will need to:

  • Be a metal/rock/punk act
  • Be from Victoria
  • Have your music uploaded to triple j Unearthed before 19th February

Whichever act wins the competition will become the final act to be added to Download’s debut Melbourne lineup, which already features the likes of Prophets Of Rage, Korn, NOFX and Limp Bizkit.

Download will make its Australian debut this March. Get to know the full festival lineup below, and check out the full list of sideshows right here.
