Flight Facilities Return With First New Song In Three Years, ‘Arty Boy’

Purveyors of Aussie electro-pop, Flight Facilities (Jimmy Lyell and Hugo Gruzman to their mums), have returned with their first new song in three years. It’s called ‘Arty Boy’, and it features their old m8 and collaborator Emma Louise on vocals.

‘Arty Boy’ (below) is the first new material since the duo’s latest album Down To Earth, and their live album with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

The song’s music video was directed by German collective Jünglinge, and is a kind of mini-documentary about an Irani-German couple who are old friends of Arnold Schwarzenegger and happen to run a bodybuilding bath house.

Speaking with triple j yesterday, Flight Facilities said they’re currently sitting on “around 60” new songs as they work towards their next major project. They were also spotted in the studio with New Zealand duo Broods earlier this year.
