Future Of AC/DC In Doubt As Doctors Advise Brian Johnson To “Stop Touring Immediately”

Aussie fans who caught one of AC/DC‘s recent Rock Or Bust concerts may have born witness to one of their last shows with frontman Brian Johnson.

The singer has been forced to pull out of the band’s remaining world tour dates on doctors’ orders, reportedly being told to “stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss”.

According to an official press release, Acca Dacca have postponed the remainder of their US tour, including an April 4th performance at Madison Square Garden.

The statement also indicates that the shows will be rescheduled til later in the year, “likely with a guest vocalist”.

But there’s been no indication as to what the news about Johnson – who replaced iconic frontman Bon Scott in 1980 – will mean for the future of AC/DC.

It comes after founding rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young left the group last year after being diagnosed with dementia and longtime drummer Phil Rudd was left out of the band’s world tour amid a bunch of legal issues.

We’ll bring you more information as it develops.
