Gene Simmons Teases KISS Australian Tour

What up, KISS army? Here’s some good news to help you through the mid-week slump. Gene Simmons has promised that Kiss will embark on an Australian tour, and by our calculations we can expect them some time in 2015.

In a post on Simmons’ Facebook page the Kiss bassist thanked fans who had boarded the band’s annual KISS Kruise.

“We look forward to seeing your lovely faces next year KISS KRUISE V. Meantime, we are off to Las Vegas completely brand-new show, to begin our stand there. Then, off to South America, Australia, Japan and Europe to continue this never ending tour.”

Considering the KISS Kruise happens around Halloween each year, we can reasonably expect the band to be bringing their show our way some time before November 2015. The “brand-new show” in Vegas is a much more intimate affair than KISS are used to. They’ll be playing nine shows in a 4,500 capacity venue.

That doesn’t mean they won’t bring out the big guns when they return to Australia. Still no word on whether they’ll bring Def Leppard to Australia, as they have done elsewhere this year.

Earlier in the year Triple M banned Kiss from their rotation after Simmons made insensitive remarks about people suffering from depression, so it’ll be interesting to see the reception Kiss gets upon return.

Kiss last visited Australia in 2013 when they shared the bill with Mötley Crüe for a co-headlining national tour. Be sure to keep an eye out on Music Feeds as more details are released.
