Visual Arts Installations

Harvest will feature two unique virtual art installations for you to try out on the day, one via an iPhone app, and one that involves downloading an audio track to be played on the day.

The Gathering of The Manna, by Luke Hespanhol, is an interactive augmented reality art installation accessible via smartphones (iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia), that activates once you are at the festival. Inspired by notions of harvest, animated 3D vegetables float around the festival site, expressing their emotions upon audience interaction.

Enjoy their journey from innocent beginnings in the morning to their wild ripening in the afternoon and final dismissal in the evening as bright fallen stars. You will need to download the free Layer app to access this installation.

Eyes Wild Open, by Big One Little One, is a dynamic new audio-theatre work in which you are the headline act! Download the track to your portable electronic device (making sure you don’t listen to it first), bring along some headphones, and wait until you find a quiet moment in the day to listen. Be prepared to have your eyes opened wide in this choose-your-own-adventure book in your head.
