Hear Slash’s Ripper New Tune With Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators

While you wait for new Guns N’ Roses music, your favourite top-hatted Les Paul-slinger Slash has just let rip a brand new track from his solo project with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

Dubbed ‘Driving Rain’, the choon is pretty textbook Slash; chugging Aerosmith-inspired blues riffage, sexy pentatonic lead licks and layers of Alter Bridge frontman Kennedy’s powersauce vocals stacked on top of each other to make the vocals just as girthy as the guitars.

“This is a riff I specifically remember playing with the guys for the first time at a venue in New Hampshire on the World on Fire tour,” Slash reminisces.

“It’s a cool guitar part we ran though, and from that point forward the rest of the song started to come together in my mind while on the road. We put it all together this year and Myles came up with a great melody for it.”

The tune has been lopped off the group’s forthcoming album Living The Dream, which is slated to land on September 21st. It marks the legendary human riff machine’s fourth solo record (his third with Myles Kennedy & co).

You can pre-order it now from JB HIFI for your chance to win a trip to LA to see Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators up close at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip.

Hopefully they’ll come back to Australia soon anyway, though!
