Janelle Monae, Kimbra Australian Co-Headline Tour Announced

UPDATE: Janelle Monae and Kimbra cancel Perth, add new Melbourne show, and announce venue change for Sydney — full details here!

Two of pop’s most eccentric figures, Janelle Monae and Kimbra, are teaming up and returning to Australia for a set of co-headline tour dates all around the country – and it’s happening next month!

It was 2012 when the Archandroid herself, Monae, last graced Australian shores as part of Vivid LIVE, bringing her full band and stunning live show with her. It was that same year Kimbra completed her largest solo tour of Australia to date, following her massive international success with that Gotye collab, Somebody That I Used To Know.

Now, though, the pair are teaming up for five huge dates at some of the country’s best venues. The Golden Electric Tour will feature intertwined joint and individual performances as both artists perform separate sets with their bands and take the stage together.

My Live Nation members’ pre-sale begins 10am this Monday, 14th April before general release tickets go on sale 10am Thursday, 17th April.
