Killswitch Engage Announce 2014 Australian Tour

Mighty Massachusetts metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage have announced that they will return to Australia this year for a run of dates that kick off Friday, 11th April at the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane. Vocalist Jesse Leach made the announcement himself on Triple J‘s The Racket.

Killswitch Engage defined a genre with their 2002 album Alive or Just Breathing, now considered a hallmark in the annals of heavy metal history and the moment a new form of heavy music dubbed “metalcore” was brought into this world, only to be perfected by the band that created it.

Today, the boys have reunited with original singer Leach and are hot on the heels of their acclaimed sixth studio album, Disarm the Descent, which delivered on the band’s promise to shred their audience’s faces off and continue their commitment to producing vital, dynamic records.

Joining Killswitch Engage on their 2014 Australian tour will be a true heavy metal supergroup, Kill Devil Hill, which features some of the most illustrious and legendary figures in the genre, corralling members from outfits including metal gods Black Sabbath, Dio, Pantera, Down, and Ratt.

Killswitch Engage’s return to Australian shores kicks off this April with a licensed all ages show in Brisbane and will see the boys coursing down the East Coast to hit Sydney and Melbourne before finishing off with shows at Adelaide’s HQ and Metro City in Perth. Check below for all details.
