Korn’s Jonathan Davis Has Confirmed Rumoured Marilyn Manson Collaboration

There’s a “completely unexpected” collaboration brewing between Korn frontman Jonathan Davis and Marilyn Manson.

Manson first dropped the news on Metal Hammer saying, “Jonathan and I used to be really close. We hadn’t seen each other in quite some time.”

“Now he and I are talking about doing something completely unexpected together.”

Davis then threw further fuel on the fire posting on Facebook a screenshot of the headline “Manson hints at new Jonathan Davis collab,” with the caption, “Yes this is happening #ogshit.”

The pair last collaborated on Davis’ 2002 track Redeemer which featured on the soundtrack for the movie Queen Of The Damned. However, following that they were rumoured to have fallen-out after a feud and have not been involved with each other since.

The Pale Emperor seems to be in the making amends/collaborating mood, having only recently announced a series of co-headline shows with The Smashing Pumpkins across the US. This, after they teamed up onstage at Soundwave this year.

In typical Manson style, in the same interview where he revealed the collaboration he also teased his departure from music in favour of acting. “Acting is new to me, so that’s more exciting. There might come a day when I don’t feel like doing music,” he said.

Luckily he added, “I don’t see that any time soon.”

Manson is currently featured in the US TV series Sons Of Anarchy. Let’s hope he sticks with music long enough for this collaboration to eventuate.
