If you’re somewhat anxious about which direction Jimmy Eat World will be taking with their new album Damage, then chill. Today sees the first single from the record released and I Will Steal You Back sees the return of the Jimmy Eat World we’ve known and loved for oh so many years.
Deets on the release has been coming in dribs and drabs, though we know Damage is set for a Tuesday, 11th June release, which is slowly creeping up. This will be released via new record label RCA, so it’s very exciting times.
Jimmy Eat World teamed up with the absolutely magician Alain Johannes, whose fingerprints can be found on releases ranging from Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures to Chris Cornell and Arctic Monkeys, so Damage will surely be covering an equally grand scale.
While speaking to Rolling Stone, frontman Jim Adkins explained, “There was less an emphasis on it being clean and perfect,” also revealing the lads went analog “for the first time in a long time.
News that will no doubt cause the ears of fans to start twitching with excitement. Weird sensation, right?
